1962, Quechequan

“In Fall River where I grew up, The Quequechan flows through the center of town.  Unlike most rivers, it is out of sight, covered by the cotton mills that used its rushing waters for power during the citiy’s industrial heyday.  Everyone talks about the river and knows the work it did, but few have ever seen it.  My work is to make such rivers visible.”
